Bio
Richard Bradbeer a Melbourne based electric and upright bassist with over 20 years of professional experience across a breadth of styles, from Jazz, Rock, Pop, Afro-Cuban, Folk and everything in between.
He has performed extensively throughout Australia and internationally with acclaimed artists including Paul Kelly, Mia Wray, Mark Seymour, Ian Moss, Troy Cassar-Daley, Painters & Dockers, Olympia and Alex Lahey.
Richard has contributed to over 80 recordings, with credits including Vika & Linda, Tim Rogers, Bob Evans, Didirri, Oh Mercy and Little Red.
In 2025, he performed in the Give Peace a Chance John Lennon tribute tour alongside Adalita, Isabella Manfredi, Steve Kilbey, Kevin Mitchell and Diesel, in addition to touring nationally with Alex Lahey, Vika & Linda and Mark Seymour. During this time, he also recorded bass for releases by Didirri, Julia Jacklin, Rowena Wise, Olympia, Kaitlin Keegan and Mia Wray.
In 2026, Richard has continued recording with Mark Seymour, including re-recordings of Holy Grail, and with Vika & Linda alongside producer Mitchell Froom (Crowded House, Los Lobos, Elvis Costello). Recent performances include collaborations with Mark Seymour and the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Benjamin Stewart (Slowly Slowly), Ashley Naylor (Paul Kelly, The Church), Alex Lahey and Bob Evans.
Upcoming engagements include performances with Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon), Jordie Lane, Alexander Gow, and a 46-date national tour with Vika & Linda.
